ITINERARY
DAY 1 - Calicut arrival – Thirunelly (140 KM / 5 Hrs)
Drive Uphill to arrive at Koomankolli Heritage Farm. En route visit Chain Tree: Find this chained tree in Lakkidi which is among the highest points in Wayanad and on a Ghat Pass. bounded by a chain Well, over the years, the tree has naturally grown tall, but quite unbelievably, the chain too has grown taller along with the tree There is also a tribal legend behind the chain tree. Rest of the day free to familarise the Resort,Walk across paddy fields, Farm and Vegetable gardens. Overnight at KoomankollyDAY 2 - Thirunelli - Kuruva Deep (20KM /45 minute)
Kuruvadweep or Kuruva Island is a 950-acre protected river delta along river Kabini. It comprises three densely wooded uninhabited islands and a few submergible satellite islands, which lies on the banks of the tributaries of Kabini River in Wayanad. The bamboo grooves and the flora of the Region is time consuming! Lunch at a Local Restaurant (Included)
DAY 2 - Thirunelli - Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary (2KM/ 10 Minute)
Sanctuary is one of the best places to view bountiful flora and fauna at home. Tholpetty is part of the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary, which is the second-largest in the state. One of the best ways to explore the wildlife and the forest at Tholpetty is through a jeep safari conducted by the Forest Department. Organized twice a day, the jeep safari lets you spot wild animals and birds up close in their natural habitat.DAY 3 - Papanasini Temple – Aranyakom Homestay (75 KM/3 Hrs)
On the way, less than 10 minute away from Koomankolly visit the famous Papanasini Temple. Revered by Lord Vishnu, Thirunelli is an ancient temple -(962–1019 CE). This shrine is perhaps the only temple in the world, where devotees can perform all the rituals, related to life, starting from birth to death and after death.
DAY 4 - Kanthipara Waterfall (6KM/20 Minute)
Kanthanpara is a quaint little waterfall famous for its secluded and serene vibe. The cool, sparkling waters at this lesser-known destination are sure to soothe all who wish to rejuvenate in a silent environment. Surrounded by beautiful greenery on all sides, it is worth the time spent, in the calming embrace of nature.
