ITINERARY
DAY 1 - Cochin to Munnar (140 kms/4 hrs)
Arrive Cochin International airport, Meet with Your driver and Drive to Munnar –a breathtakingly beautiful haven of peace and tranquillity. South India's largest tea-growing region. Set at an altitude of 6000 ft in Idukki district, Munnar was the favoured summer resort of the erstwhile British rulers in the colonial days. On arrival check into Hotel. Visit the picturesque mattupetty dam.Overnight stay .
DAY 2 - Munnar
Breakfast at the hotel. Proceed to the trek point. Go on a Soft trekking passing through the rolling hills and sculpted Tea gardens of Munnar . Gradual trek and hike through the tea plantations. you get to see the tea pluckers (not working on Mondays). View from top of the hill is spectacular. Trek duration is around 3 hrs. (medium pace-) Savour the Picnic hamper. On the way back experience, tea tasting at a caffe downtown .Also visit Tea Museum which explains the history of Tea in Munnar - a good opportunity to get authentic tea dust and related products. Overnight stay.
DAY 3 - Munnar - Thekkady (3 ½ hrs,110 kms)
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive through the long and winding roads for Thekkady - one of the best-known wild life Centres in India and picturesque with unending Chains of hills and spice-scented plantations. Thekkady is, India's largest wildlife sanctuary and spread over an area of 777 Sq.Kms, surrounded by an artificial lake over an area of 25 Sq.Kms. Evening is cruising on lake periyar to watch the wild life at close quarters. You may sight Asian elephants, bison, sambar deer, boars, wild squirrels, lion tailed monkeys. Overnight stay.DAY 4 - Thekkady – Kumarakom (4 ½ hrs,140 kms)
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive downhill, enroute Enjoy a Spice plantation tour, followed by a stroll through the spice town of Kumily. The tour gives you a chance to see cardamom, pepper, clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and many other varieties of spices. etc. Leave for Kumarakom. A lovely amalgamation of mangroves, paddy fields, coconut clusters, network of criss-cross canals, rivers and natural water bodies - all this makes Kumarakom a destination of distinction and character. On arrival check in at the hotel Rest of the day free. the locally sourced, delicious cuisine, adds to the uniqueness of Kerala’s backwaters. Take part in the sunset cruise organized for the guests at the hotel.

DAY 5 - Kumarakom
Breakfast at the hotel. Free for Independent activities. Village Walks, Country Canoe Cruises, Shikara Rides to name a few. One can also visit the Bird sanctuary across the waters Or rightly choose an Ayurvedic Experience which is bound to be rejuvenating. (Payable locally).Overnight stay
DAY 6 - Kumarakom to Cochin international airport (2 ½ hrs,80 km)
Breakfast at hotel. Check out from your hotel. Drive to Cochin International Airport.
